October, as you know, is Breast Cancer Awareness month. In 2015, businesses all around the DFW metroplex were eagerly helping to raise funds in support of this important cause. This year, Fat Daddy’s teamed up with local charity; Careity Foundation. Fat Daddy’s together with Careity foundation put together a month long campaign to provide additional funding for the treatment and care of their local patients and survivors.

The first thing Fat Daddy’s in Mansfield did was host a Pink Party in their honor! All cover at the door and sales throughout the evening benefited the foundation. The band, The King Pins, put on a killer show and customers were encouraged to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer awareness.

In addition to participating in the Pink Party, Fat Daddy’s also offered customers the chance to make daily cash donations throughout the month by selling custom pink ribbon badges. Fat Daddy’s sold nearly 400 ribbons of varying denominations which were on display in the restaurants front entrance.

To top it all off, Fat Daddy’s took the awareness online by hosting a Facebook Fan Pledge campaign. For every new fan they received on social media platforms throughout October they donated $1.00 to the foundation.

Through the combined efforts of Fat Daddy’s and their loyal customers they were able to raise over $1,714 for Careity Foundation and look forward to exponential results in 2016. Thank you to everyone who participated in Fat Daddy’s Careity events both at the restaurant and online. We look forward to helping more breast cancer patients and survivors in the North Texas area.
